(Original Caption) Ann Arbor, Mich.: Lighting a pipe, three young men join in celebrating during Ann Arbor's 2nd Annual Hash Festival on the University of Michigan campus. The event drew 3,000 persons, who listened to music, danced and smoked marijuana. Plain clothes police were on hand, but there were no arrests. Sponsors said the event celebrated springtime, the alleged joys of marijuana smoking and the mildness of Ann Arbor's $5 an arrest marijuana ordinance.
