There comes a moment in the lives of every couple in love, when they look into one another’s eyes and are completely oblivious to their surroundings. It is a magical moment of enchantment and romance, and it is a moment worth treasuring and remembering as we live our lives together.

Just the Two of Us captures this moment of enchanted romance as a couple dances in a glittering, gold and silver shining ballroom on a special night in a special place. Possibly, they are at the reception of a wedding, and have snatched this moment alone while all of the other guests are off in another room, going through the reception line or grabbing a drink from the open bar.

Or just as possible, the couple is actually in a crowded room, but because we, the viewer, are seeing the world from their eyes, we don’t see any crowd of people milling and talking and dancing about, but see only the couple, who see only each other.

I am a fine art painter who creates representational images celebrating light, life, and color. A commercial illustrator for more than 20 years, I have been painting for most of my life, and in the last 13 years have focused exclusively on fine art. I celebrate images that invite the viewer to step into the artwork and experience a sense of joy, peace, freedom, encouragement, meditation, and thought. There's a lot of angry art out there, as well as a lot of shallow pop. I choose to use the abilities and experience I have to promote beauty and goodness.
